ListLink Privacy Policy

ListLink is a shared household organization product provided by Dark Roots Lab. In this policy, “ListLink,” “Dark Roots Lab,” “we,” and “us” refer to the ListLink service and its operator. This policy covers the ListLink mobile application, mylistlink.app, beta and support interactions, and related service operations.

Depending on the features you use, we may process account and profile information such as your name, email address, authentication records, family membership and role, settings, and information needed to provide beta access or support.

ListLink families may create and share Tasks, Projects, Calendar events, reminders, Shopping items, Recipes, Meal Plans, Budget and Spend records, Family Updates, notes, photos, receipts, saved Intake material, and other content they choose to add. Household content may be visible to other members of the same ListLink family according to the product's sharing, role, and assignment behavior.

When you request beta access, report an issue, send feedback, or contact support, we process the information you submit and relevant app, device, or diagnostic details needed to respond or investigate. Please do not submit passwords, authentication codes, payment-card details, or family information that is not needed for the request.

We use information to authenticate users; provide and synchronize shared household features; operate accounts, plans, beta access, and support; generate user-requested suggestions; maintain security; prevent abuse; diagnose problems; communicate service information; and improve ListLink.

Dark Roots Lab does not create its own behavioral advertising profiles from ListLink users' information and does not sell users' personal information for advertising. Advertising is delivered through third-party advertising services as described below.

ListLink uses Google Firebase and related cloud services for functions such as authentication, application data, server-side operations, and storage where a feature requires it. These services may process account identifiers, content, device or browser information, IP addresses, request information, and operational data needed to provide and secure the service.

Eligible adult members on an advertising-supported ListLink plan may see ads provided through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google's User Messaging Platform or equivalent privacy controls may be used to present and manage choices that apply to you.

If you consent to advertising personalization, Google advertising services may use eligible information, subject to Google's policies and your consent, to select personalized advertising. If you decline personalization, ListLink requests non-personalized or general advertising. Declining personalized advertising does not prevent normal use of ListLink.

Non-personalized advertising is not the same as no processing. Google and participating advertising services may still process limited information needed for contextual ad delivery, security and fraud prevention, frequency capping, measurement, aggregated reporting, diagnostics, and general location derived from an IP address. Dark Roots Lab cannot control every aspect of an independent provider's processing.

Where applicable, you can revisit the privacy choices presented by ListLink through the app's advertising privacy controls. Google account-level advertising choices may also be available through My Ad Center. Google explains personalized and non-personalized advertising in its AdMob guidance.

ListLink does not intend to provide precise GPS coordinates to advertising services. The current Android advertising integration does not request a location permission for this purpose, and ListLink's banner integration does not supply coordinates to the advertising request.

This does not mean that no location-related information can be processed. Google and other infrastructure providers may process IP addresses or derive a general location for purposes such as contextual advertising, security, fraud prevention, measurement, and service operation.

Google independently governs its processing under its own terms and policies. Its uses may include providing and improving services, delivering and measuring advertising, preventing fraud and abuse, and—when permitted by settings and consent—personalizing content or ads.

Review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Apple or Google processes mobile-store purchases and subscriptions under the applicable store's terms and privacy policy. ListLink may receive transaction, subscription, product, and entitlement information needed to recognize and manage a purchase. RevenueCat may be used to help manage subscription and purchase entitlements across supported platforms.

Store billing is separate from ListLink account data. Deleting a ListLink identity or family does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Review RevenueCat's privacy policy and the applicable store's privacy and subscription controls for more information.

We may process technical details such as app version, operating system, device model, screen size, timestamps, request and error information, and details you provide in a support or issue report. We use this information to operate ListLink, diagnose failures, protect accounts and families, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

Information may be shared within a ListLink family as needed for shared household features. We also use service providers to perform functions such as authentication, cloud hosting and data operations, advertising, purchase-entitlement management, diagnostics, communications, and support.

Providers process information under their applicable agreements, settings, and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect ListLink, its users, or others; investigate abuse; or comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not claim that third-party transaction history or independently controlled provider records are deleted through a ListLink deletion request.

Retention depends on the type of information, the feature that uses it, account and family status, security and support needs, backup operation, and applicable obligations. Dark Roots Lab does not publish fixed retention periods for every category in this policy because those periods have not been finalized.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete or de-identify it. Limited records may remain for a bounded period in backups or when reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Delete Me in the ListLink app is the individual-identity deletion path. Delete the Family at mylistlink.app/delete-account is the separate whole-household deletion path for an authorized adult administrator or owner.

Whole-family deletion causes household members to lose access and subjects family-scoped ListLink content to permanent deletion under the approved deletion process. Backend cleanup may continue after the browser closes. Deletion does not automatically cancel store billing, refund purchases, or remove independently retained store transaction history or bounded security and legal records.

You may update information through available ListLink features, manage advertising privacy choices where presented, use the applicable account or family deletion path, manage subscriptions through Apple or Google Play, and contact us with a privacy request.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain processing. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the relevant account or family before acting on a request. Some rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction.

ListLink is a family application, but advertising-supported experiences are intended for eligible adult family members. Younger household members should use ListLink with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Dark Roots Lab does not intend to use personalized advertising for users treated as children under applicable requirements and platform settings.

If you believe a child's personal information was provided or processed contrary to applicable requirements, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. This policy does not establish a universal minimum age; age and parental-consent requirements depend on the applicable release, region, and law.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect ListLink information. No storage, transmission, or security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and this policy does not promise absolute security.

We may update this policy as ListLink, its providers, advertising controls, purchases, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website, or another appropriate channel.
